How we got here

From one designer to a Wix Legend studio.

The short version of how a side business in Wigan became a studio building for clients across the UK and overseas.

  1. 2017

    The studio opens.

    Ryan Eccleston set up the studio in November 2017, after studying branding at the University of Salford and working as a senior designer at Travel Counsellors. The same year, he and his wife Ashley started their own business, Bespoke Foil Company.

  2. The niche

    Going all in on Wix.

    Rather than building anything for anyone, we committed to one platform and got really, really good at it. That focus is what lets us work quickly and keep prices sensible, and it's still the backbone of how we work.

  3. 2020

    Full time, and growing.

    At the end of 2020 Ryan left his day job and the studio went full time. Today Mark Preston leads SEO and growth and Dixit leads development, so every project has a senior person on every part of it.

  4. Today

    Wix Legend Partner, building on Wix Headless.

    More than 200 businesses later, we're a Wix Legend Partner, and we build client sites on Wix Headless as well as Wix Studio. We still run our own brands too, so everything we recommend has been tried on a real business first.
