About our services
We're a small web design studio in Wigan. We design and build websites on Wix, with the branding, copywriting and SEO to match. Because we only work on Wix, you get a site that's custom designed for your business but easy to keep up to date, without the maintenance headaches of traditional web development.
Businesses that are ready to invest in a website that properly reflects them, usually ones that have been trading for a couple of years, and well-funded new businesses that want to start strong. Our clients range from local trades and professional services to consultancies, product brands and hospitality. If you're after a quick, cheap website, we're probably not the right fit.
No. My Wix Designer is an independent studio, and the name simply reflects that we specialise in Wix. We're a Wix Legend Partner, Wix's top partner level, but we're our own business, not part of Wix.com.
Two things. We focus on business results rather than just good-looking designs, so every page is planned around how your customers find you, decide and get in touch. And your brand, words, website and SEO are all done under one roof by the same small team, so nothing gets lost between agencies.
Websites are the core of what we do, alongside branding, copywriting, SEO and ongoing support. We also build custom systems, like client portals, a charity donor tree and franchise dashboards, and connect them to Wix through Wix Headless. See the systems we build. The design process
Every project starts with a 15-minute call, then a proposal with a fixed price. From there it's an onboarding brief, design, build and launch, with your feedback at every key stage. See the process in full.
Most Wix Headless sites go live in one to two weeks, and a simple brochure site can sometimes go live the same week. Bigger sites take two to three weeks, online shops three to four, and Wix Studio builds about a week longer. You'll get a realistic timeline in your proposal, and regular updates along the way.
Mostly your time and your input, because you know your business better than anyone. We'll ask for your existing brand assets (logo, colours and fonts), any content or photos you'd like to use, and some time for feedback. Don't worry if you don't have everything ready, we'll help you work through it.
Absolutely. You'll approve the design concepts first, then see the fully built site on a private preview link. Nothing goes live until you're completely happy with it.
We agree the direction together before we design anything, which takes most of the surprises out. Every plan includes rounds of revisions, so if something isn't working, we'll work with you until it is.
Ideally, yes, because content that comes from you tends to be the most authentic. But writing website copy isn't everyone's thing, so copywriting is available as an add-on, priced on request. If you don't have professional photos, we can source stock photography for an additional cost.
Wix and technical questions
Wix gives the right mix of design freedom, reliability and ease of use. We can build fully custom sites without the security holes, plugin clashes and constant maintenance of platforms like WordPress, and you get a site that's easy to update without technical help.
On Wix Studio, the whole site is designed in Wix, and you can edit everything yourself, layouts included. On Wix Headless, we custom build the front of the site, while Wix still runs your content, forms, blog, hosting and security behind it. You manage everything from the same Wix dashboard, but new layouts come through us. Our monthly plans are built on Wix Headless. More than a website. Because the front of the site is built in code, it can connect to other software through its API, so we build things like listings fed from a CRM, client logins, donations with renewals, proof approvals and dashboards, while Wix keeps running your content, forms and contacts. Yes, when it's set up properly. Wix has the technical foundations Google looks for: fast loading, mobile-friendly pages, secure hosting and full control over titles, descriptions and web addresses. We put the SEO foundations in place on every site we build, but ranking well takes ongoing work beyond the build. See our SEO plans.
Yes, and we encourage it. On Wix Studio you can update words, images and whole sections in the Wix editor. On Wix Headless you edit your content, pages and blog posts from the Wix dashboard. Either way, we'll walk you through everything before launch.
Every site we build is designed for phones, tablets and desktops. Most visitors arrive on a phone, so we put real care into how your site looks and works on a small screen.
It's rare, but Wix updates can occasionally affect how a site looks or works. We're not responsible for platform updates, but if something goes wrong we'll do our best to help, and any fix may be billable depending on the circumstances. It's all covered in our terms and conditions.
Wix Studio and Wix Editor sites can't be exported to another platform, though you keep all your content, images and brand to rebuild elsewhere if you ever need to. Wix Headless is different: the code behind your site is yours, so it can move to another host or platform later. Most of our clients stay on Wix because it does everything they need.
Not on a monthly plan. Your Wix plan and hosting are included, and we renew them for you. With a one-off build, you keep your own Wix Premium plan and pay Wix directly. Think of it as rent for your website's home on the internet.
Pricing and payments
Our monthly plans are £145 a month for Signature, £195 for Growth and £395 for Shop, with the build, hosting, SEO fundamentals and monthly updates included, and nothing to pay up front. Prefer to pay once? One-off builds start at £1,500, and Wix Studio builds are one-off only, at 40% more. Compare the plans.
Yes, that's what our monthly plans are: the build is included in a monthly price, with a 12-month minimum, then month to month. If you'd rather pay for the build once, we take a 50% deposit to secure your slot, with the balance due before launch. Deposits aren't refundable, as they reserve your slot and cover the discovery work.
Every monthly plan includes the design and build, your Wix plan and hosting, the SEO fundamentals and update hours every month. What changes between plans is the number of pages, the local SEO work and, on Shop, your online shop. Branding, copywriting, domain management and business email are add-ons. Your proposal sets it all out, so you know exactly what you're getting.
On a monthly plan, no: your hosting and updates are in the price. Monthly SEO, domain management and business email are optional add-ons. With a one-off build, you pay Wix directly for your Premium plan, or Care from £95 a month covers it on Wix's Light and Core plans, with updates. See the plans.

SEO and marketing
Yes. We submit your site to Google and put the technical foundations in place, so your pages can be found and indexed.
The SEO foundations included with every site won't get you to number one on their own. They make sure your site is technically sound and easy for search engines to read, which is the starting point. Ranking competitively takes sustained work over time: content, links, local SEO and ongoing optimisation. Be wary of anyone who guarantees top rankings, because nobody controls Google's algorithms.
Yes. Our monthly plans start at £495 for local businesses, £995 for national, and from £995 for online shops, all led by Mark Preston. See the SEO plans.
Our expertise is web design, branding and SEO. We don't run ad campaigns or social media ourselves, but we can advise on how your website fits into your wider marketing, and recommend trusted partners.
After launch
On a monthly plan, your update hours start straight away and reset on the 1st of every month. One-off builds get 30 days of support after launch, for bug fixes, small tweaks and any questions, then help through Care or our support options.
During your support period, we'll sort it at no extra cost. After that, our support options mean you're never left on your own. See the support options.
Absolutely. Lots of clients handle day-to-day updates themselves and come back to us for bigger changes, new pages or a refresh. Whether it's a quick tweak or a big overhaul, we're here.

Working with us
In Wigan, at Pier House on Wallgate. We work with clients across the UK and overseas, mostly over video calls and email, so location is rarely a barrier.
Not at all. Our process works perfectly well online, with video calls for discovery and design reviews. But if you're local and would rather meet face to face, we're happy to.
